Hey MEDcare! This week we would like to recognize Dr. James Koon as our Provider of the Week! Dr. Koon provides care out of our Columbia, SC centers and is a favorite amongst MEDcare patients.

Dr. Koon knew he wanted to be a physician in the 7th grade. The only prior physician in his family was a great uncle on his mother’s side of the family that died in about 1942.

He attended Oral Roberts University for undergraduate school and then went to MUSC in Charleston, SC for Medical School.

In his spare time he has been renovating his house.
